Ilse, Paco, Rikke, Ole and Mette. The name of our house originates in the letters of our first names: 'Casa Primo' Le Marche. And the most important thing is that this beautiful country house is the number 1 place for us to enjoy. To enjoy the beautiful life!
Enjoying the beautiful life: that is what we are going to do.

We have lived and worked in Asia (Taiwan) for a few years. As a family, we also traveled a lot. After that many trips we came to the conclusion that Italy is one of the finest places on earth for us. Food, wine, sun, sea, mountains, culture and the people. In 2017 we were on vacation in this beautiful country and we were introduced to Le Marche. We fell immediately in love with this fantastic environment. It seemed like a forgotten piece of Italy. The best kept secret. Nature with rolling hills, seas full of sunflowers and other beautiful flora and fauna and of course the great, impressive Sibillini mountains. But also the beautiful medieval towns, so stylish and full of culture. Beautiful operas and the fantastic restaurants and cook culture, for us as foodies 'the place to be'. It was love at first sight and now we want to share the best kept secret of Italy.

Walking through the huge olive grove, we knew this was it, our ultimate dream.

But also the beautiful medieval towns, so stylish and full of culture. Beautiful operas and fantastic restaurants and cooking culture, for us as foodies 'the place to be’.

After that many travels, we came to the conclusion that Italy is one of the nicest places on earth for us. Food, wine, sun, sea, mountains, culture and people.

the state of the house

In 2018 we bought the farm that was still in the state of how it was built in 1935. No running water, with stables for the animals below and a heating shed for Vin Santo. In addition, the beautiful olive orchard with 150 olive trees. When we found this farm, saw the beautiful view of the Monti Sibillini and walked through the enormous olive orchard, we knew that it was our ultimate dream.

It seemed like a forgotten piece of Italy. The best kept secret. Nature with rolling hills, the seas full of sunflowers.

In 2018 we bought the farm that was still in the state of how it was built in 1935. No running water with stables for the animals downstairs and a boiler room for Vin Santo.

However, we also had the swimming pool built that first summer in 2018 and already filled with water.

It was love at first sight and now we would like to share Italy's best kept secret.

start the renovations

The first step was to prepare the first floor. Three bedrooms with adjacent bathroom and a common room (now the TV and chill room) where we installed a small kitchen. Downstairs nothing had changed yet and even the old, attached stable was still there.

We did, however, also let the swimming pool build that first summer in 2018 and already fill it with water. We made a source with the best water ever and could enjoy our first vacation in
Casa Primo. We also built a barbecue. We were immediately enjoying the place, the view and the surrounding area. The ideal moment to discover everything and to be together.

In 2017 we were on holiday in this beautiful country and we got to know Le Marche. The flame immediately flew and we all fell in love with this fantastic environment.

We have lived and worked in Asia (Taiwan) for several years. We have also traveled a lot as a family.

At the end of 2018, the ground floor was made in December. The floors were poured, hardened and the stoves could be installed.

The ground floor was made in December 2018. The floors were poured, hardened and the heaters could be placed. The Thermo-Camino (fireplace with central heating system) was also constructed, the windows and doors for mosquitoes came in and the solar panels were placed on the roof.

The kitchen was placed on Christmas Eve. A wonderful fire was waiting for us when we arrived in our warm, beautiful Italian house on December 24. The first fantastic Christmas in Casa Primo. The designing part could start and we did that for the most part in 2019.

We are proud of how it turned out. How we have realized this beautiful dream using the original details and the local products and powers!

We hit a well with the best water ever and were able to enjoy our first vacation at Casa PRIMO.

the garden

In 2021 we could, delayed by Corona, also have the terrace around the house and the Porticato made. We then thought out an irrigation system and constructed it around the house. Finally we laid out the garden directly around the house and made the various terraces.

We are proud of how it has become. How we have achieved this beautiful dream with the use of the original details and local products and forces! Entirely according to the principles of Slow Living, very locally oriented and as sustainable as possible. We also make slow cooking possible through the many fruit trees and the contacts that we have with local farmers in the area. It only makes our dream more beautiful.

In addition, there is a shower to shower off after swimming and there are sunbeds to tan in the sun or, for example, to read a book in the shade.
